Proactive Programs
Rockingham PCYC offers a number of carefully targeted Crime Prevention programs to local youth.
The initiatives are categorised into five priorities:
Priority One programs are intended for youth who have attended Juvenile Justice or Court. The programs are aimed at stopping young offenders from re-offending. <more information...>
Priority Two programs are early intervention crime prevention programs for youth at risk who have not committed an offence which resulted in them being dealt with in a Juvenile Justice Team or Court, but may have received a Formal Juvenile Caution. <more information...>
Priority Three programs are for youth at low risk of offending. The programs are designed to meaningfully occupy young people with activities so that they are not driven through boredom to commit crime. <more information...>
Priority Four programs are educational life skills training programs targeting youth not at risk of offending. <more information...>
Priority Five programs include recreational and traditional PCYC activities, for all members of our community. <more information...>
Through the provision of proactive programs PCYC aspire to provide activities for the community whilst reducing crime and teaching life values.
