Located on the stunning Murchison River, a short walk from beautiful swimming beaches and just five minutes from the town centre, Camp Kalbarri is the perfect place for your next camp.

We offer school and special interest groups excellent facilities and the opportunity for adventure and relaxation with a million dollar view. If you have ever enjoyed PCYC's facilities at Camp Mornington near Harvey, then you'll just love what we have to offer at Kalbarri!

Our 3 acre property contains dormitory-style bunk bed accommodation that sleeps up to 64 persons. Each dormitory has its own ablution block and a separate room for supervisors. There is a large dining hall, which also serves as a meeting room or indoor activity area.

A professional catering service is available or groups can choose to self cater. Other facilities include a grassed playing field, basketball half court, volleyball court, barbecue, campfire (in season only), sporting equipment and washing machine.

A full range of activity packages can be arranged for you according to your group's needs and budget. Itineraries can include full-on adventure activities, nature based experiences, history based learning, or a mix of all three.

Facilities:

  • Four dormitories, each sleeping 16 (7 bunk beds and 2 single beds per dorm)
  • Separate supervisors room in each dorm (two single beds with wardrobe)
  • Shower and toilet block at the end of each dorm
  • A large modern hall that can serve as a dining room and a social activity area
  • Full equipped commercial kitchen for self-catering groups OR a local catering service can be arranged
  • Indoor recreational facilities including TV, Video/DVD, pool table, table tennis and stereo sound system
  • Outdoor facilities including grassed playing field, basketball half court, volleyball court, barbecue, sporting equipment, a tennis practice wall and a campfire (in season)
  • Basic laundry facilities

 A bit about Kalbarri...

Kalbarri is one of Western Australia's most popular holiday destinations and offers camp groups more fun and more interesting natural attractions than any other town on the west coast. It offers such a variety of recreational pursuits based around the river, the ocean and the fascinating national park.

Kalbarri is blessed with a unique marine environment offering clean safe beaches, towering sandstone cliffs, coastal reefs and an abundance of subtropical marine life. It is surrounded by 500,000 acres of National Park with its magnificent array of natural flora and fauna, and spectacular river gorges and rock formations, making it ideal for hiking and the perfect place for marine biology and geographical studies.

The surrounding area is also full of intriguing history with its early European landings, shipwrecks, WA's first mining lease, first railway line, the worlds' first airmail service and a convict hiring station.
