Further information about some of our activities
Air Rifles – These activities welcomes young people aged 12 years and up to learn how to aim and shoot air rifles in a controlled and safe environment. Participants develop qualities like patience and environmental awareness.
Boxing – Focusing on providing young people with increased self esteem and confidence, Collie PCYC boxing remains a very popular activity and is held Tuesdays and Thursdays. Juniors start at 5pm and seniors commence at 6pm.
Be-Active Group – For seniors and all people in rehab we offer 1 hour active classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 9am. Activity includes walking, steps, stretching and more. Cost is only $2.
Crèche 4 Kids – Available every weekday for those parents needing a place to care for kids while they work out from 9am to 10:30am.
Gymnastics – For both boys and girls of all levels and a popular activity which continues to grow at Collie PCYC; Collie PCYC has won several competitions and welcomes all members, both new to the sport and existing gymnasts.
Kinder Gym – Interactive fun for kids 18 months to 4 years of age, (age limits flexible), every Wednesday and Friday between 10:30am and 11:30am.
PCYC Fitness – The only fitness centre with a fully equipped weights gym and cardio machines in COLLIE! Open weekdays from 6am to 7:30pm. Heavily discounted monthly, quarterly and yearly memberships are available or you can attend on a daily basis.
Police Rangers – Recruiting NOW! We are looking to recruit another 10 or so keen Police Rangers to develop leadership skills, general life skills and contribute to our Police Ranger Unit. Activities include camps, marching and drill, competing with other PCYC Ranger Units, learning about selected policing skills and much more. Ranger activities are conducted on Monday right after school from 4:15pm until 6:15pm.

Specialised Programs
Hang Out Centre
This activity welcomes all young people in the Collie area to attend a social, fun and safe environment after school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday until 5pm. The Hang Out is funded by the Department of Child Protection (DCP) and includes a trampoline, Xbox, Wii, music DVD’S, air hockey, Fooze-Ball, Hang Out Lounge and snacks are always provided. The Hang Out is also our HUB during school holiday activities.
Move Forward Centre
In conjunction with interested key stake holders, the centre is developing three areas of assistance: Personal Development, Education and Recreation. The first component of the centre to be introduced in 2011 is the BOUNCE Project. Please see below.
BOUNCE Project
This activity encourages all young people aged 12 years and over to practice BMX stuns on a padded bike frame and trampoline. Recent funding from BHP has made it possible for this very popular sport to return to Collie PCYC.
Life and You Seminar
A personal Development seminar designed to empower families and young people by teaching basic life skill principals. Areas covered include relationships, life balance, stopping repetitive destructive life cycles and much more. The seminar costs $10 per person or $15 per family group and its duration is around 4 hours.
Juvenile Justice
The Collie PCYC works closely with JJT in the south west to provide support for young people who have come through the Juvenile Justice Team. Support and mentoring is offered to the young person.
Auto Workshop
Collie Senior High School and PCYC are working together to continue this successful activity. Young people are able to learn basic mechanical skills and are referred by the school.
