About Us
Midland PCYC work closely with schools and other agencies to provide a holistic service to the local community.
Midland became an established Centre in 1941, using the lower floor of the old Midland Hotel which has since been demolished. The present building was officially opened in 1962. Due to an ever increasing membership it has undergone several expansions to accommodate theses activities.

Specialised programs
Midland PCYC offers a number of carefully targeted crime prevention programs to local young people.
Northbridge Diversion Program
The Northbridge Diversion is in its 3rd year and has been extremely successful in diverting young people from Northbridge on a Friday and Saturday night.
The program is free and attracts young people aged between 10 - 17 years of age who participate in different sports and activities such as basketball and soccer, table tennis, pool and special events. The young people also have the opportunity to access the internet. The program runs in conjunction with 'Midnight Basketball' tournaments.

Bandyup Womens' Prison Visit
A joint initiative between Midland PCYC and Bandyup Women’s Prison has been developed for young females aged 14-17. Participants have a tour of the prison and the opportunity to listen to the stories of inmates and how incarceration has impacted on their lives. This program demonstrates to have a noticeable impact on participants. Please contact First Class Susan Stern 9274 1918.
