Young people at Broome PCYC have been busy again over the school holidays injecting colour and transforming areas of Broome with street art.
The street art project’s latest mural is featured on Matsumoto Street, after designing and painting with artist Martha Lee from Desert River Sea, as well as artists George Domahidy and Vanessa Margetts.
Street art has been a highly successful engagement project for Broome PCYC, and has really resonated with the young people involved.
Broome PCYC would like to thank everyone involved with the project including Broome Red Cross, Broome Police, Broome Youth and Families Hub, Population Health and Broome Nyamba Buru Yawuru.
A huge thank you as well to Artist George Domahidy, Martha Lee and Vanessa Margetts along with all of the young people and extra volunteers for the time, effort and commitment they put into this project!
If you’re in the area, make sure you head down to Matsumoto Street and check out the design!
