Gosnells PCYC was honoured to be recognised at the City of Gosnells’ Australia Day Awards on Friday the 26th of January which celebrated some of the City’s most dedicated and outstanding residents and community groups that help make WA a better place to live.
One of Gosnells PCYC’s valuable staff members, Francis Higgins took home the City of Gosnells Australia Day WA Community Citizen of the Year Award for her dedication as a volunteer, teaching gymnastics at Gosnells PCYC for the past 25 years, as well as donating her time to be part of the Rotary Ramble, raising thousands of dollars for Telethon.
Along with Francis, Gosnells PCYC Full Throttle Program also received a certificate of Recognition for the City of Gosnells Safe City Awards which recognised individuals and community groups who took part in crime prevention and community safety activities.
The Gosnells PCYC Full Throttle Program is a diversionary program for youth that focuses on the restoration of damaged, dumped and donated bikes, engaging youth at-risk in a safe environment.
A huge congratulations to Francis and the Gosnells PCYC team for their phenomenal work giving back to the community along with all of the other 2018 City of Gosnells Australia Day Awards winners.
