Northam PCYC held their official centre re-launch on 30 May 2018 after approximately $783,000 was invested into the centre as part of the state government funded infrastructure upgrade program. It was a great afternoon with Minister for Police, Hon. Michelle Roberts MLA, Assistant Commissioner Murray Smalpage and other dignitaries in attendance to celebrate.
The newly refurbished centre features a new roof and external cladding, stainless steel kitchen facilities, revamped bathroom and shower blocks, a new common room and dedicated classroom. The floorboards at the back of the main hall were also replaced after drainage issues caused several humps to form.
Programs and activities have recommenced with new activities, including Camoplay (Kindy Gym), Gymnastics, Boxsport, Boxing, Warrior Fitness and many more.
To support or find out more programs and activities at Northam PCYC, call the centre today on 9622 2220 or email northampcyc@wapcyc.com.au.
