After months of training, 41 gymnasts from our Subiaco, Kensington and Fremantle Centres have been selected as part of the WA PCYC Gymnastics team travelling to Singapore in November 2019 to compete in the Prime Gymnastics International Invitational.
We’re proud of our long-standing reputation for developing elite Gymnasts. Our gymnasts went through a rigorous selection process to make the team, including tests of strength, flexibility and skills assessment on the bars, beam, vault and floor.
Gymnastics Coordinator Jane Roberts said the invitation to attend the competition was an honour and very exciting for the team. “We are so proud to be asked to compete and excited to provide this once in a lifetime opportunity for our gymnasts,” said Ms Roberts.
Ms Roberts encourages all children and young people to get involved in gymnastics. “It improves flexibility, coordination and fitness and teaches personal discipline,” she concluded.
