WA PCYC has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of a new Executive Manager, Marketing, Communications and Fundraising.

Rachel Horton will join the Executive Team, with immediate effect. WA PCYC CEO, David van Ooran, welcomed Ms Horton to the role and said the appointment would enable WA PCYC to fulfil its mission of helping all children in WA reach their potential, through greater participation in programs and increased focus on revenue generation to ensure WA PCYC can continue it’s vital work, particularly with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.

Ms Horton is a Marketing and Communications specialist with 20 years’ experience working with complex brands in the resources, commercial and not-for-profit sector. Prior to WA PCYC, Ms Horton acted as a Brand Strategist for Monadelphous, and served as Communications Manager for not-for-profit Rocky Bay, after a successful agency career in Perth and London.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr van Ooran stated, “Ms Horton’s extensive experience managing complex and heritage brands as well as proven and consistent record of executing large-scale marketing campaigns to drive engagement and participation will be key to WA PCYC achieving its strategic aims and continuing to shape the lives of young Western Australians.”

Ms Horton said she was delighted to take up the appointment. “There is nothing more rewarding than serving the community. Opportunities like this are rare, and I am so proud to help change the lives of young people and contribute to the sustainability of one of Western Australia’s most iconic and essential, not-for-profit organisations.”
