Collie PCYC has produced its very own ninja warrior – nine-year-old Beau Milne. Beau won the second qualifier of the Junior Ninja Warrior Youth Series and will compete in the finals at the Perth Ninja Academy in November.
Nine competitors from the Collie PCYC Street Gym program competed in the event, which tested participants’ coordination, balance and total-body strength.
Collie PCYC Centre Manager Linda Gallagher said the opportunity for the Street Gym program participants to take part in the competition was very exciting for the local community.
“We are so proud of our competitors, who did a brilliant job and put in an outstanding effort, and we look forward to cheering on Beau in the finals in November,” she said.
Ms Gallagher said the Street Gym program had become an integral part of the local community. “The weekly challenges and engagement sessions available to young people encourage them to develop their self-belief and confidence.”
Beau will compete in the Youth Ninja Challenge League Finals at the Ninja Academy Perth on November 2 & 3, with his friends from the Collie PCYC Street Gym program cheering him on.
