The PCYC gymnastics team made up of gymnasts from our Fremantle, Kensington and Subiaco Centres, placed second at the Prime International Invitational Gymnastics Competition in Singapore this month.
It was an incredible result for the gymnasts who travelled overseas to compete against 640 gymnasts from six different countries in the week-long event.
Not only did our gymnasts finish second overall, there were also some outstanding individual results, with a number of gymnasts taking first and second positions in a range of levels and age groups.
Fiona Hearn, Head Coach of the PCYC Gymnastics Team, said the competition took incredible strength and determination.
“I am so proud of all the girls for training so hard and being selected to compete in the Invitational Event. Finishing in second place overall was the icing on the cake”, she said.
A big thank you to all the coaches, and parents that helped with the trip and to Prime Gymnastics and their Club Mangers for hosting such a fantastic event.
