Young people living with a disability can now join in the popular Collie PCYC Mountain Bike Program thanks to three electric mountain bikes provided as part of the Community Living and Participation Grant (CLPG), supported by the NDS and Lotterywest.
Collie PCYC Centre Manager, Linda Gallagher, said the new bikes encourage diversity and inclusion in sport, with the centre now offering free mountain bike riding activity to participants living with a disability.
“The electric bikes help develop basic bike riding skills and more importantly ensure that all young people in the community can take part in the popular program” she said.
Anyone interested in the program can visit Collie PCYC to have a custom fitting.
