Beau Milne from Collie PCYC won the ‘Gymnastics for All’ (GfA) Athlete Achievement Award at the Gymnastics WA Awards for his Free G and Junior Ninja Warrior achievements.
For over five years, 12-year-old Beau has been involved in the GfA Free G program delivered at Collie PCYC, which incorporates freestyle gymnastics and encourages young people to participate in adrenaline fuelled freestyle sports.
Over the years Beau has earnt a multitude of awards in club-hosted competitions. His exceptional performance in competitions is attributed to his dedication and drive, unsurpassed in the field.
Beau has also represented the Free G program in Ninja Warrior competitions across the state, including the Ninja Challenge League Finals in November 2019.
Collie PCYC Manager Linda Gallagher said that Beau is totally committed to the program, jumping at any opportunity to participate in events.
“Beau is an incredible mentor at Collie PCYC, consistently offering a helping hand to his coaches and fellow athletes. He always makes himself available for demonstrations and exhibitions to further grow GfA in WA and is such a valued member of the community. He thoroughly deserves this special award,” she concluded.
