Skate Park nights with Kununurra PCYC and Kununurra Youth Policing Officers continue to be a hit with up to 75 young people attending each week.
East Kimberley Police Inspector, Gary Lewis, who attends the sessions, (and doubles as a chef to feed those that arrive hungry), said it was heart-warming to see so many parents and families actively involved.
“This parental support isn’t just welcomed by PCYC staff and the Police, but more importantly, by the children themselves. It’s clear to see they love having their parents and family around watching them.”
Each week the Youth Police Officers also manage to survive attempts at jumps themselves, as they try and learn tips and tricks from PCYC kids!
