Rio to the rescue!

It was all-hands-on-deck at Broome PCYC when Rio Tinto employees volunteered their time to transform an overgrown rubbish area into a community garden space for PCYC children.

Team Rio Tinto helped to clear large amounts of green waste, debris and rubbish.

Annie Dann, Broome Centre Manager, was extremely thankful to the local team for dedicating their time to PCYC.

“This means a previously unused area can now be used by our Institute of Training students who will look to regrow the grass and rebuild the BBQ picnic area as part of their Community Engagement project.
