Kununurra PCYC is thrilled with its new 10-seater bus. Funded by the State Government, the bus is used to take local children and teenagers safely home each night.
Now, instead of hanging out at skateparks until late at night, around 100 young people each week jump aboard the bus to be taken safely home. Kununurra PCYC Centre Manager, Jane Cartwright, said PCYC provides an important service to the local community and increasing safety is another positive impact.
“The bus also allows us to share and experience some great banter and tunes from Country and Western singers like the Family Shoveller Band and Luke Combs during the trip home – so there’s always lots of laughter to complete the night’s activities!”
