The Federation of Western Australian Police and Community Youth Centres (Inc.) (WA PCYC) is calling for a dedicated and passionate Projects/Grants professional to take up the exciting and challenging role of Projects & Grants Officer on a full-time basis.

The Projects & Grants Officer will assist the Senior Projects & Grants Officer with a positive, can-do attitude in the overall coordination of grants and projects to fund mid to long term programs and initiatives. This challenging role includes the assistance in management of grant/tender writing, submissions, tracking and acquittal processes to meet funder and legislative requirements. You will have the opportunity to use your experience in sourcing potential grants/tenders and be willing to go the extra mile to secure the grant for WA PCYC.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Senior Projects and Grants Officer in major projects, and carry out other project management duties as required, including the preparation of reports.
Assist in research and identify grant opportunities to support programs and activities for WA PCYC Federation and centres, in line with WA PCYC priorities. Monitor and track grants to ensure project milestones are met, and report progress to funders to ensure that grants are acquitted on time.
Maintain the Grants/Tender Matrix in liaison with the Senior Projects and Grants Officer to EMT and Board requirements.
Maintain an accurate record and track the process of all PCYC grants activities and ensure all grant applications meet legislative requirements.
Develop and refine organisational procedures for the grants process, including the identification of key steps/components of successful grant applications.
Assist the Senior Projects and Grants Officer with financial management and analysis, including program evaluation.
Build relationships and network with local, State (WA Police) and Federal government and non-government organisations, service providers, and businesses to source and acquit grants funding for WA PCYC.
Skills and Experience:
Professional experience in Project Management, Grants or similar role (3-5 years).
Demonstrated research and analysis skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Sound time management, organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of all levels of Government and ability to work effectively with community groups and other stakeholders.
