The Federation of Western Australian Police and Community Youth Centres (Inc.) (WA PCYC) is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to take up the exciting and challenging role of Centre Manager at Roebourne PCYC on a full-time basis.

Position Profile: 

The Centre Manager is responsible for the economical and efficient day-to-day running of the business including service delivery, marketing, administrative services, and systems compliance aligned to Strategic Priorities. This multi-disciplinary position also supports the centre by coordinating systems, policies and procedures which comply with government/funding agency requirements, including reporting and compliance with contractual and/or funding obligations.
The Centre Manager exercises substantial independent initiative and judgment over day-to-day operations, with significant accountability to ensure adherence to organisational procedures and standards by all centre employees/activities, and the achievement of operational plans and budgets.
This position is empowered to develop innovative youth development programs with WA Police Officers, and be entrepreneurial in their approaches to fundraising and sponsorship opportunities, income activities and attracting volunteers.
  

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Effectively supervise staff, contractors and volunteers in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Actively works towards achieving outcomes as indicated in the PCYC Strategic and Business Plans by developing and continuously monitoring and evaluating a Centre Action Plan
  • Preparing, monitoring and reporting of budget (actual versus forecast, and variances) to Head Office
  • Identify grant and other funding opportunities for grant/tender submissions in liaison with and supported by Head Office
  • Develop youth develop programs in collaboration with WA Police that contribute to both organization outcomes relating to youth crime management with Head Office support
  • Developing innovative services and programs to grow centre activities to fit with the needs of WA Police, community profile, operating environment and membership
  • Maintain engaging and collaborative working relationships with staff, WA Police Youth Officer, volunteers, organisation and community representatives to further WA PCYC and WA Police outcomes
  • Applies and promotes the principles of equity, diversity, occupational safety and health in the workplace and behaves and manages staff in accordance with relevant standards, values and policies
  
Skills & Experience:
  
  • Possession of qualifications in Youth Work, Business and / or Sport and   Leisure Management.
  • Excellent capacity to develop new business opportunities, partnerships and strategic relationships
  • Significant financial management experience, demonstrating proven business and financial skills
  • Experience and/or strong understanding of grants/tenders
  • Experience working with young people
  • Proven people management skills
  • Strong project and program management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills, and attention to detail
