The Western Australian Police and Community Youth Centres is one of WA’s leading youth organisations, working with the WA Police Force and the community for over 80 years to empower children and young people to reach their potential.

With 16 locations across WA, and 50 Blue light™ units in remote and rural areas, we offer recreational activities, diversionary programs and alternative education courses in a safe, fun and friendly environment.

Our youth centres are the heart of PCYC. This is where lives are changed and memories are made.

An amazing opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated person to join our Broome PCYC team and take on the role of Programs and Activities Co-ordinator.

The Programs & Activities Co-ordinator takes the lead role in the development, delivery and growth of high quality, and successful programs and activities for children and young people at the Broome PCYC Centre.

Every day will be different, from building relationships with community stakeholders, to developing new programs and activities, identifying funding opportunities and managing staff and volunteers.

About you.

Essential
  • Qualifications or relevant experience in Youth Program or Service Delivery Management, Project Management, Sport and Leisure Management of similar.
  • Demonstrated budget management experience
  • Proven people management skills
  • Experience in developing programs and activities for children and young people, as well as partnerships and strategic relationships
  • High level written and interpersonal communication skills, including: communicating with people from diverse backgrounds, presentation skills, and capacity to represent the organisation
  • Hold or ability to obtain a valid National Police Clearance and Working with Children's Check
Desirable
  • Previous experience in a non-profit organisation
  • Grant application writing
