Broome

In 1977, a public meeting was called to gauge interest in the town for a PCYC Centre. Following an enthusiastic response, a committee was elected and fundraising began!

Broome PCYC was officially opened in August 1981.

In 2021, the Centre underwent redevelopment, enabled by a grant from the State Government. The Centre is now home to an upgraded stadium, a new boxing and fitness facility, resurfaced basketball courts, a new ventilation system and upgraded bathrooms and changing rooms. These improvements provide a better environment for the hundreds of children and young people who attend Broome PCYC every week.

Well-known for its safeSPACE™ and School Holiday Programs, Broome PCYC is a popular after-school and evening hang-out for young people, where they can get involved in fun activities like basketball, arts and crafts and cultural workshops, all free of charge.
