Gosnells PCYC hosts a wide range of recreational activities.
safeSPACE, funded by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science as part of the Safer Communities Fund, provides a safe place for young people and young people at risk, to hang out and participate in a range of recreational activities and development programs, as an alternative to participating in antisocial behaviour. Sessions run Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings with a healthy meal and transport provided. The program is also supported by the WA Police Force.
The bike program, funded by the WA Police Force Community Crime Prevention Fund, targets young people who have, or are at risk of, engaging in criminal activity. The program aims to improve school attendance and personal development, providing breakfast, transport to school, and afterwards participation in a bike workshop running from 4:30 – 6:00pm on Thursdays. Bikes are donated in an effort to help participants develop respect and self-worth.
Police Rangers is an adventure based, youth development program which, in partnership with Cadets WA, facilitates the commitment of WA Police Force to form positive relationships with young people. Open to young people of high school age, the program increases youth self-confidence, leadership, team building skills and self-esteem. Police Rangers learn new skills, such as first aid, and gain experience by participating in activities and excursions. The program runs from 7:00 – 9:00pm Wednesdays. Contact us for more information.
