Midland PCYC is a long established community centre that has historically offered a wide range of services and activities for the benefit of the local community.The recent refurbishment and transformation of Midland PCYC has seen the facility transform into a vibrant community centre that offers a diverse range of activities and support services for the benefit of the wider City of Swan community.

Midland PCYC activities and programs encourage youth participation at the centre from a wide spread of the community as well as engaging youth at risk in order to reduce youth crime by offering programs that provide youth with valuable life skills. In partnership with the WA Police and the community, Midland PCYC aims to develop young people through inclusive and sustainable programs and activities that contribute to a safer community.

Midland PCYC is accessible to all cultural and demographics groups within the community and offers a range of recreational activities and diversionary programs in a safe and supportive environment.

WA Police Youth Crime Intervention Officers (YCIO’s) are present a Midland PCYC providing assistance to centre staff and guidance to youth attending training programs. They support the large variety of programs being conducted at the centre and engage with youth throughout the day, attend home visits and liaise with the local community to bring youth into the centre who are deemed to be at risk. These youths may be at risk due to a variety of behavioural, situational and educational factors. WA Police YCIO’s are located at the Midland PCYC Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
