RESPONSE TO THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19) –  PCYC TEMPORARY CENTRE CLOSURE

The health and well-being of our staff, volunteers and people that visit our Centre is our priority.

To ensure we protect our people and reduce the risk of the Coronavirus spreading in the community, our Centre has temporarily closed, effective 12.00pm on Monday 23rd March 2020.

If you have any queries about programs or activities, please contact us.

Roebourne PCYC exists so that children and young people at risk in the Roebourne area have a safe place to go – somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do.

With 99% of the young people attending Roebourne PCYC coming from an indigenous background, the main focus of the Centre is to provide a safe place for local young people, away from domestic violence and types of abuse.

Roebourne PCYC also caters to the needs of the community through the design and implementation diversionary and recreational programs that are targeted towards local young people.

Because Roebourne PCYC doesn’t have an opportunity to produce an income from recreational activities and other programs, securing ongoing funding to deliver youth engagement activities and programs, is a constant challenge. Roebourne PCYC is dependent on seeking involvement and support from local businesses and volunteers within the community.

Roebourne PCYC is a registered ‘KidSport Club’ and accepts KidSport vouchers for Football (Australian Rules).
