Kensington PCYC & City of South Perth Chill Out Zone Event

Published: December 01, 2018 12:00am
Kensington PCYC held a Community Event on Saturday 23 November to showcase the programs and work alongside with the City of South Perth to get the community together to bring awareness of each agency, and the value of the programs that we offer to the community. The event was funded by the City of South Perth after initial discussion with Kensington PCYC staff and representatives from Skateboarding WA and the City of South Perth. The event was a first of its kind for all agencies involved. We had on display WA PCYC’s 8m high mobile Climbing wall and OutReach™ Fun Truck. You can also find the Outreach™ Team at events around the metropolitan and regional areas providing activities and youth mentoring. The Town of Victoria Park’s Blender Bike and Kensington PCYC’s Chill Out Zone was included as fun activities at no cost for young people who attended, and was extremely popular in the heat of the day with marquees for shade, beanbags, face painting, smoothies and a free sausage sizzle. “We are looking forward to working with all agencies again in 2019.” says Kensington PCYC Centre Manager Amanda Dow who was delighted to see so many young people attend.
