Attendance
From April to June over 40 events were registered in the Blue Light™ areas of:
- Dwellingup
- Meekatharra
- Merredin including Southern Cross
- Newman
- Onslow
- South Hedland including Warralong and Yandeyarra
- Tom Price
- Warburton
- Bidyadanga
- Esperance
- Carnamah servicing Perenjori
- Kojonup/Katanning including Cranbrook
Total participation for the past 3 months was over 1,800.
Past events have consisted mostly of discos but have also included outdoor movie nights, football, and 3 on 3 basketball. This goes to show that Blue Light™ is not just about discos and there is an endless list of possibilities for events that young people can find entertaining and engaging.
The month of April was a busy month for our Blue Light™ Coordinator, Jema, who travelled over 1700km in four days to visit Blue Lights in Merredin, Coolgardie, Kambalda, Narrogin, and Boddington while on a trip to deliver a Fun Truck to Kalgoorlie PCYC. Jema hit the road again in June to visit Boyup Brooke Blue Light™ and has more trips planned to visit as many Blue Light™ areas as possible
