PCYC RESPONSE TO THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19) –  PCYC TEMPORARY CENTRE CLOSURE

We are excited to say we’re getting ready to welcome more children and young people back to our Centre.

We know everyone has been missing their favourite activities almost as much as we’ve missed the buzz of young people at our Centre.

You will hear from us when your favourite program or activity is restarting, as well as any changes to the previous timetable, for the remainder of Term Two.

We are however, now able to provide Out of Hours School Care for families previously registered, for the remainder of Term Two. Before school care is still temporarily closed. Please make sure that you book your child’s place by emailing kosc@wapcyc.com.au 48 hours before the required date so that we can plan accordingly.

Our PCYC Institute of Training courses have also recommenced.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Kensington PCYC exists so that disadvantaged children and young people at risk in the Kensington area have a safe place to go – somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do.

Kensington PCYC is one of our largest multi-purpose facilities with a large stadium, youth hang out room, multiple classrooms and a workshop to deliver a mix of recreational, diversionary and accredited training courses.

Kensington PCYC specialises in and excels at engaging and supporting young people at risk within the local community. Kensington PCYC works closely with government agencies and the WA Police to provide a voice for young people and build a safer community.

Partnerships with organisations such as the Department of Education and the Department of Corrective Services, allows Kensington PCYC to deliver several evidence-based programs that provide provide certified training to young people at risk and young people identified as offenders within the local community. In turn, these programs have been statistically proven to reduce the rate of offences among participants.

Kensington PCYC also offers traditional recreational activities such as gymnastics along with School Holiday Program that is supported by the WA Police and an Out of School Care Service for families with the Child Care Subsidy available to eligible families.

Kensington PCYC is a registered ‘KidSport Club’ and accepts KidSport vouchers for all recreational activities.
