Blue Light WA™ Easter madness

Published: April 12, 2024 2:51pm

Easter marked a very busy time for not only the Easter Bunny but also our Blue Light WATM Units across WA.

Hundreds of children and young people across the state were invited to join in on various Easter-themed activities from arts and crafts to disco pool parties!

Up in the North, Balgo, Kununurra and Looma Blue Light WATM Units ran Easter egg hunts and discos, ensuring that even in the most remote communities, children and young people can join in on the Easter fun.

Meanwhile, in the Wheatbelt, Southern Cross put on its first Blue Light WATM event with an impressive turnout of 60 young people at their Easter disco! Narrogin was also a popular destination for Easter activities with an exciting egg hunt featuring the Easter Bunny himself, as well as arts and crafts.

Later that day The Easter Bunny was spotted enjoying a sausage sizzle at Three Springs, joining in on their Blue Light WATM community event.

Mullewa and Morawa Blue Light WATM also ran multiple Easter activities over the weekend, drawing in many excited children and young people from the community who got involved in movie nights, pot plant activities and a special Easter disco.

Thank you to all our wonderful Blue Light WATM facilitators and the wider community for their support in engaging young people in safe, social activities.

The Easter festivities marked an awesome start to the school holidays.
