Bunbury PCYC were honoured to be announced as the winners of the City of Bunbury’s Event of the Year Award, alongside the SWAMS Youth Committee and Mental Health Team at the Mayor’s Australia Day Ceremony.

The award was received for the reveal of the Wariny Koop Bidi Marts (Making Good Pathways) Mural painted at PCYC, a memorable moment that was shared with the Bunbury community in October 2021.

Bunbury Centre Manager, Justine Feather said, “With so many young people from PCYC helping to paint the mural, we are thrilled that they have been acknowledged for their contribution to the community.”

“Winning this award wouldn’t have been possible without the support of local artist, Glen Garlett, local sign writer, Andrew Fraser and the SWAMS Youth Committee and Mental Health team, who all worked together to help us deliver this project.”
