Kalgoorlie joins in the fun at Youth Fest

Published: October 25, 2022 12:25pm

So many children’s dreams were realised when they heard Youth Festival was coming back to town!

Kalgoorlie certainly put on a show at Kingsbury Park and Lord Forrest, where PCYC had an activity stall set up offering slushies and popcorn, kindly funded by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Over the course of the day, the music was cranking and there was a heap of free entertainment and activities including skate boarding, laser tag, food stalls and a glow in the dark mini golf course.

Julie Beeson, Centre Manager said, “The Festival was put on hold for 3 years, so the day brought a lot of excitement to our young people and it was great to see so many families come down to enjoy it together”.

The PCYC team served a whopping 350+ slushies and popcorn and an equal number of young people participated in the laser skirmish area that PCYC managed. No wonder the children were so excited that Youth Fest was coming to town!
