Kensington kids good eggs
Kensington PCYC students swapped the classroom for the streets to help locals clean up the mess left behind after one of the most severe storms hit Perth in almost a decade.
Students participating in the Certificate I in Automotive Vocational Preparation course helped mop up the damage by removing branches off roads and footpaths and clean up in and around the PCYC Centre.
Acting Centre Manager, Maree Ellis, said it was great to see the young people lead by example and show how much they care about people in their community.
Maree continued, “Actions speak louder than words. It’s one thing to tell a young person that they should care about the community; it’s another for them to volunteer their time and put effort into doing so,” she concluded.
A big thanks to our Kensington PCYC kids!
