Brayden qualifies for State Championships in Men's Artistic Gymnastics

Twelve-year-old Brayden was referred to his local PCYC to attend the safeSPACE™ program, a place where he could relax, make friends, and enjoy a range of activities.

It didn’t take long for Brayden to gravitate towards the trampoline at Collie PCYC, inspiring staff to invite him along to a gymnastics class at the Centre. It was here that Brayden’s passion for gymnastics ignited, to the point where he now trains as a Level 3 gymnast 90 minutes per week at Collie PCYC.

It has been thanks to the generosity of the Collie community that Brayden has been able to continue training over the years, with a local family kindly purchasing his uniform and Collie PCYC Centre Manager, Linda Gallagher driving him to and from every gymnastics competition to ensure he never misses out.

The first PCYC inter-Centre (regional) gymnastics competition since COVID was held at Gosnells PCYC at the start of August, where Brayden competed in the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics and qualified for State Championships.

Collie PCYC Centre Manager, Linda Gallagher said, “Brayden is a fantastic role model for other PCYC children, and we are so proud of his achievements.”
