PCYC breaking the bias on International Women’s Day

PCYC staff, volunteers, Youth Police Officers, Board Members, and participants recognised International Women’s Day by joining the #BreakTheBias campaign.

PCYC Centres such as Geraldton PCYC also included International Women’s Day activities in their safeSPACE™ sessions for the day. Girls enjoyed discussing what it means to them to be female and creating packs to take home and share with a female role model.

The girls were also encouraged to take part in a competition where they told a story through art about what a gender equal world, free from bias would look like to them. The winner was thrilled to be awarded with a trip to a local retail store to choose a new outfit and pair of shoes!
