PCYC honoured to have Hon Melissa Price MP visit Roebourne

Hon Melissa Price MP, Minister for Defence Industry and Science and Technology, visited Roebourne PCYC and saw first-hand how much local children love their PCYC Centre.

Each week, young people attending the workshops learn important life skills such as basic budgeting, how to cook and sew and how to use a computer.

Thanks to funding from RDA Pilbara and Rio Tinto, Roebourne is the first PCYC Centre to offer safeSPACE™ seven nights a week for disadvantaged children and young people at-risk.

After joining the Life Skills Workshop and getting to know the participants, Melissa was invited by the children to play a game of basketball.

It was safe to say she was a crowd favourite by the time her visit came to an end!
