PCYC kids keep ANZAC traditions alive

This year to honor ANZAC day, participants of Collie PCYC’s safeSPACE™ program, made poppies to form a wreath that was then presented by a small group of young people at the local ANZAC memorial.
While making the poppies, participants discussed the history of ANZAC Day and why it was important for them to keep the wreath laying tradition alive.
Collie PCYC Centre Manager, Linda Gallagher said, “ANZAC day is an important part of Australia’s history that should always be passed on to our younger generations.”
With lock down restrictions impacting ANZAC Day ceremonies across the Perth and Peel region, it was great that some of our Centres could still participate in a traditional service.
