PCYC participants pay it forward

Geraldton PCYC was filled with excitement after receiving a delivery from GIVIT.com full of Bonds merchandise.

A pallet packed with 30 boxes was donated to the Centre with items ranging from teen t-shirts, shorts, track pants and jumpers all the way to children’s underwear and baby singlets.

Within moments of the items arriving, girls from Geraldton PCYC’s safeSISTAS Program were trying their favourite pieces on, grinning from ear to ear as they modelled each item. Just when they thought it couldn’t get any better, they were told by Geraldton PCYC Centre Manager, Talya Quinn, that they could take a box home full of clothing to share with their families.

The good deeds didn’t stop there! Having experienced the joy of receiving this donation, young people at PCYC wanted to share the love and decided to make family packs filled with different Bonds items to deliver to other families in need in their community.

The girls' group delivered items to local organisations including MEEDAC, Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service and Geraldton Streetwork Aboriginal Corporation who can help to distribute the items to other disadvantaged children.

Geraldton PCYC Centre Manager, Talya Quinn said, “We are so thankful to GIVIT and Bonds for donating these items. Many children don’t have a large choice of clothes so this donation will make a real difference to them.”
