The Circus comes to town for Kununurra kids

Published: September 29, 2021 12:52pm

Kununurra PCYC was filled with laughter as children and young people learnt circus skills, made circus props and participated in interactive games with the Hands on Circus.

The Hands on Circus generously hosted a variety of workshops for PCYC participants.

With over 156 children and young people attending over three days, the workshops were a great success with children gaining confidence as they enjoyed various activities and learnt new skills.

Participants were introduced to the world of juggling, hooping and acro yoga, helping to increase their hand-eye coordination and body connection.

Younger children discovered movement and play through fun games with props and music.

The Hands on Circus held their last workshop at White Gum Park, with Hope Community Services joining the fun, bringing along their dunking gadget for everyone to enjoy.

These fun-filled workshops were a wonderful way to get children and young people in the community involved in physical activity and was definitely a day they’ll remember.

We are so grateful to the Hands on Circus for making this experience possible.
