Our School Holiday Program never fails to deliver exciting activities and new experiences for children across WA!

Albany

Children in Albany were treated to a range of awesome excursions over the holidays, including a day trip to Albany Indoor Adventures where they tested their ninja and climbing skills in the obstacle course. They also played a game of tug-of-war where both sides were determined to win!

The PCYC team organised a visit to the National Anzac Centre where each child was given their own historical figure whose story they followed as they explored the history of the Anzacs. One of the final excursions was a fun swim at the pool at the Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre, which the kids loved!

Carnarvon

Children in Carnarvon got to enjoy the beautiful weather with a range of outdoor activities such as kayaking and fishing at Town Beach. The PCYC team organised a basketball tournament and put on a BBQ to help feed the hungry players!

Kalgoorlie

There was no shortage of activities for children to enjoy in Kalgoorlie. From Lego building to gym warrior obstacle courses to music jam sessions, it was an action-packed school holiday program from start to finish.

PCYC hosted a morning of science experiments and put on a special activity for the solar eclipse. The young scientists tested how the moon was blocking the sun by cutting a small circle in a piece of paper and then holding it above another piece of paper. The kids were amazed when crescents appeared on the bottom sheet of paper, although some further scientific explanation was needed!

Kununurra

While the main activity at the Youth Hub during the school holidays was the painting of the 15m art mural (read more here), PCYC also hosted a range of other events including a disco night, kayaking and a night at the skatepark. The centre also collaborated with 54 Reasons, MG Corporation, and WA Football to host an afternoon of community football with the Sharks playing the Dingoes in a friendly scratch match.
