A record breaking month for Blue Light™

Published: September 27, 2022 10:21am

With Zorb balls, water slides, fun in the sun and Blue Light™ disco’s – Blue Light™ Units across the State were busy providing children with access to recreational equipment and social events, who otherwise might not have access to.

PCYC recorded their highest attendance for Blue Light™, with over 1,300 young people attending 13 different events.

Children in Looma and the small community of Noonkanbah were beside themselves with excitement, attending their first ever Blue Light™ disco, while kids in Gingin and Kambalda were thrilled to be attending their first Blue Light™ event in months.

Mingenew, Perenjori, Wyndham and Laverton also added to the record breaking month!

Blue Light™ continues to expand its reach across Western Australia as we proudly welcome our 52nd Blue Light™ Unit, working hard to ensure there is a PCYC Centre or Blue Light™ Unit wherever children need our services.

As well as keeping children and young people active, Blue Light™ activities also build relationships and trust between the WA Police and young people in regional communities.

Stay tuned or follow our Blue Light Facebook page to see all the fun things our Blue Light™ Units get up to!
