Albany PCYC Centre Manager receives top honour

Published: August 20, 2019 12:00am

We’re proud to say Terry Eaton, our Albany PCYC Centre Manager, has received the Honorary Freeman of the City title – the most prestigious award a council can grant a resident.

Mr Eaton has been recognised for his exceptional service to the local community and for his dedication to helping young people succeed. When he heard about the news Terry said it was an honour to receive the award.

“It blew me away. I’ve always been available for the community and done a lot of work for young people of Albany, who I have seen go on to do some really great things” he said.

Terry Eaton has been the Albany PCYC Centre Manager since 1995. In his 24 years in the position, originally as a WA Police Officer, Terry has made a massive impact on the lives of many young people throughout the community through his passion to see young people succeed.

Terry received his recognition earlier this month at a civic reception welcoming him as a new Freeman of the City, a special moment shared with family and friends.
