New sports equipment supports Mental Health Week

Basketballs, footballs, frisbee targets, playing vests and carry bags were some of the new goodies creating excitement at our Fremantle PCYC Centre.

The items, kindly funded by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health as a part of Mental Health Week were given a trial by our members as soon as they arrived!

“It’s a great way to get the team outside for some fresh air and it’s brilliant to see them having so much fun whilst trying new activities and challenges” said Paul Lill, Fremantle Centre Manager. “We feel privileged to have been able to replace some of the old and tired equipment”. The Fremantle centre is fortunate to be located next to a frisbee golf course set amongst the trees surrounding Hilton Reserve.

Mental Health Week is a significant topic across our centres each year, so this is a brilliant initiative that will bring about hours of enjoyment. Thank you to Armando Sports who are a passionate supporter of our Fremantle Centre and gave generous discounts on purchases, which made the funds go even further.
