Jordan’s dream career within reach

After completing PCYC’s Institute of Training Automotive I Course, Jordan is a step closer to achieving his dream career as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.

Having struggled in a traditional classroom setting, Jordan felt a sense of relief when he was referred to PCYC’s Institute of Training.

Jordan couldn’t thank PCYC enough for providing him with the final stepping stone he needed to get a foot in the door of the automotive industry.

After graduating from PCYC’s Automotive I Course, Jordan has now secured a volunteering position at Isuzu Major Motors. After one month volunteering, Jordan will complete an aptitude test which, if he passes, will lead to a full-time, paid position, working as an apprentice mechanic.

Jordan said, “If it wasn’t for PCYC, I wouldn’t be in this position.”

Jordan was one of eight students to graduate from the latest Institute of Training Automotive I Course at Kensington PCYC.

Not only did the 6-week course provide students with practical skills relevant to an automotive workplace, it provided companionship and gave the students the confidence to think about further study and career options.

Kensington PCYC Centre Manager, Simon Petersen said, “We are so proud of Jordan and all of our graduates and are excited for their bright futures ahead.”
