Cooper finds drive to succeed

Published: February 23, 2022 2:20pm

Cooper is one of several graduates from Bunbury PCYC's Certificate I in Leadership Course to gain a place at South Regional TAFE this year.

Previously disengaged from traditional school, Cooper now looks forward to attending TAFE each week after developing a new found love of learning thanks to PCYC’s Institute of Training. Cooper's Mum thanked PCYC for the 'reset and refocus' the Leadership course provided Cooper, stating that if it wasn’t for PCYC’s Institute of Training, Cooper wouldn’t be where he is today.

After completing his Light Vehicle Pre-apprenticeship, Cooper will have the opportunity to become an apprentice in the automotive industry or progress onto completing a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology. But the best part is seeing how excited he is about his future.

PCYC’s Certificate I in Leadership is a bridging course that assists young people to progress to further education, training, or employment through the development of leadership skills and increased community participation.

In February, Bunbury PCYC welcomed their first class of Leadership I participants for 2022. For more information about this course please head to https://www.wapcyc.com.au/institute-of-training/certificate-i-in-leadership
